Alzheimer's: Community Service Project Evening & We are now officially the leaders!

On 8th February 2011, the leaders of respective CAS projects were invited to have a presentation evening. Harini(my co-leader for Alzheimer's) and I thus spent few days including the holidays to prepare and work on what needs to be done. We showed creativity, perseverance, communication, collaboration, open-mindedness and reflection skills as we spent a lot of time and energy to set up different booths, created powerpoint presentation, prepared different posters and photographs for display, and prepared what to say to make our project known. Parents and teachers were our main audience and we stayed alert to how best we can deliver the information. Harini and I were able to reassure ourselves of our enthusiasm and passion for this job and we were pretty succesful in terms of conveying the information about the work that we do and are planning to do(our strenghts!). However, we also realized some of the limitations in terms of the work that has been done previously in this project which motivated us to have regular, frequent, high-spirited meetings as leaders of this project to come up with different, creative and fresh ways to approach and tackle this problem and make our CAS a real meaningful service project.

This is Harini and me preparing for the presentation evening together.

As of 24th of Febrary, Harini and I had been appointed as the official leaders of the Alzheimer's CAS from the previous leader in Grade 12. We are very excited and motivated with the new responsibility and privilege that had been handed over to us and have had so many meetings for different ideas and plans to make this CAS  a succesful one!

Harini and Me, the New leaders of Alzheimer's!!!  *^0^*
I'm sure that since we both know our own strenghts and weaknesses as well as our strong commitment, that we will be able to make it succesful with thorough planning and communication not only amongst ourselves but also with the teachers and other team members!
